A special tribute to Studs Terkel by Bob Edwards.
Bob travelled to Chicago and the home of 93 year old Louis "Studs" Terkel to reminisce about Terkel's career as a writer, broadcaster, oral historian and story teller. Terkel won a Pulitzer Prize for The Good War: An Oral History of World War II (The New Press; originally aired July 29, 2005).
Studs Terkel passed away on October 31, 2008. He was 96 years old.
Bob Edwards Weekend is a two-hour interview showcase, in which celebrated host Bob Edwards highlights the life and work of interesting people, from newsmakers, historians, and authors to artists, actors, and regular folks too.
