Mike Wallace
I admit I was a little sad Bob didn't bring up Mike (nee Myron)'s stint working on old-time radio, announcing shows like The Green Hornet, Sky King, and Curtain Time, performing the title character in The Crime Files of Flamond, or even his appearaces on Information Please. Ok, ok, so old-time radio...

Re: Julie Drizin
I guess Bob and Tish brought over Julie Drizin from WETA... Apparently not a permanent assignment, though. (They are kind enough to let me know about new staff for the Staff Bio page.) Musta been tough on news producers when WETA went all-classical. (Not to mention losing the D.C. outlet for Bob Ed...

Re: XM-Sirius merger
How well do you think Bob and his soon-to-be boss Mel Karmazin will get along? A better question; do you think the merger will be the start of the "Bob and HooHoo Show?" Lessee... Bob Edwards: Welcome back to the Bob and HooHoo Show...I'm talking to Shana, madam of the Happy House in Tulusa... Howa...

Annabelle Gurwitch: This is one thing I have learned about being fired; you know, if you're going to flame out, do it big-time...go out with a bang. I believe you know something about not going away quietly...

Re: Why XMPR drives me bonkers...
Did you send a copy of this to Lee Abrams? Would he listen if you did? Doubt it. I did send a link to the original blog post to Kevin Straley (VP of Talk Programming) with copies to Eric Logan and Hugh Panero. Of the three, I'd bet Panero actually read it; the others are no better than 50/50. Seems...

Re: Robert Hanssen's "Palm Pilot"
As a person who has written programs for Palm Pilots for years, I wanted to point out the Palm III, which Eric O'Neill said that Robert Hanssen had, does NOT have a hard drive nor a removable storage card. Yeah, I caught that myself; I assumed he knew less about PDAs than he did about "databases," ...

Hot on the heels of the announcement he is taking over as president of AFTRA, MediaWeek is reporting a new multi-year deal for The Bob Edwards Show: Through a new multi-year deal with XM Satellite Radio, public radio icon Bob Edwards will continue to host The B...

Bob Edwards: Angelina Jolie... David Kipen: Angelina Jolie unfortunately...I mean, my one reservation about the script is that Eric Roth I don't think tends to write women very well, and Angelina Jolie unfortunately doesn't tend to play women very well... Line of the Day - January 10, 2007
Ok, ok, I first thought about posting a "line of the day," that line in the show that tickles my admittedly-warped sense of humor, last Monday when during the chat with David Broder we heard: Bob Edwards: So the new Democratic-controlled Congress was sworn in last week, it passed lobbying reform, an...

Until that broadcast, I didn't realize that Le Show is broadcast on Sundays at 3:00 pm. I have to admit even though I know it's aired on XMPR, I don't listen then...I subscribe to the KCRW podcast, and end up listening sometime mid-week. If I'm really pushed for time, I skip straight to the apologi...
