Bob Edwards was my primary reason for choosing XM as opposed to Sirius. Honestly, it was also a vote against Howard Stern; I didn't want any of my subscription fee to support his program.
Finding Christopher Lydon again was an unexpected delight. I was heartsick when he and NPR had their falling out, and The Connection became a thing of the past. Now, due to lack of funding (from what I've read), he is gone again. I do have his final two podcasts which will likely tell me a lot more, but I had really hoped that the latest schedule changes on XMPR were an indication of his show being moved from 3 a.m. eastern back to it's original time slot of 7 p.m.
Chris's intellect fascinates me, and his voice is as wonderful as Bob's, but in a very different way. I hope he finds a way to return to XMPR.
